Paraprofessionals in the Aurora School District are required to have 60 college hours or completion of the ParaPro Praxis. Duties of the Paras in the Aurora District vary based on the individual needs of the students. We have classroom paras who assist the students by accompanying them to regular education classrooms and providing support with reading skills, taking notes, and other various classroom tasks.

We also have one-on-one Paras that provide support to students with specific personal needs. Paraprofessionals play a vital role in the lives of our students and staff. We are very fortunate to have such caring, competent individuals on our staff.
